WOMEN’S DEPARMENTS

The Greater Refuge Temple Women's Department is comprised of several auxiliaries. Each is directed to address different needs of the individual.

The “Sisterhood” provides opportunity for the ladies to gather on a social basis…to get to know one another… The goal is to further establish relationships among the sisters and provide an atmosphere of freedom.

The Women's Council Department includes all women regardless to age or marital status.  The main functions and objectives are: fund raising, educating--both Christian and secular, social concerns, health concerns, spreading the gospel, and aiding the pastor both financially and spiritually. The Council Uniform is a white dress or suit (white for purity) and purple hats (purple for royalty--we are daughters of the King). Our local meetings are held each third Friday Night at 7:00 . Our International meetings are held in the month of October. We are a sharing, caring loving auxiliary!

The Missionary Department is a group of women who have a special call on their lives. These women have committed themselves to exceed the basic expectations of Christianity. They hold high spiritual and social positions in the Kingdom of God . They respect mankind and his assigned role to lead and are willing to assist in the service of God in any capacity. As Missionaries, they visit hospitals, nursing homes, and the sick and shut-in. Our creed: We, the women of the Churches of our Lord Jesus Christ, knowing that God has called us into holiness and sobriety, and charity, to rescue the fallen and administer any and all help, as we have opportunity, whether spiritual or material to the glory of God and to the honor and majesty of His great Name, now take our place in the ranks of the workers of our Lord to do our part in harvesting souls for Jesus Christ, as our Lord is coming soon to gather the precious fruits of the early and latter rain. If you feel a special call on your life, join us for our monthly meeting every 1st Friday at 7:00pm .

 The Ministers & Deacon's Wives' Guild is comprised of the wives of the Ministers and Deacons of the Church. The women have banded together to be of support and comfort one to the other. They are able to share personal testimonies that will encourage others within the group. They also engage in special projects to aid the mothers of the church including food drives and visitations.
